Te Anau, New Zealand
Welcome to Honeyfields Alpacas established in 2003  by owners Barbara and Doug Lomax.  Our farm, on which we run approximately 80 alpacas, is located on the edge of Fiordland National Park in one of the most beautiful settings in southern New Zealand. We consider ourselves lucky to live in such a beautiful environment.   Doug is fairly busy most of the year with his commercial beekeeping operaton (his honey is available from our Farm Shop) although he lends a hand on the farm in his spare(?)time. Barbara manages the farm and all things alpaca and is the main point of contact for Alpaca Sales,  Stud Services, Alpaca Farm Tours and Farm Shop.

We are totally committed to breeding top quality white and fawn alpacas with fine, soft handling, heavy cutting fleeces.   A planned breeding programme is followed and we consider we are well on the way to achieving desired goals.    In recent years Honeyfields has achieved a number of show successes, including championships, with alpacas born and bred here at Honeyfields - we see this as a measure of the success of our breeding programme.
